I used to work from home for a bank as a mortgage consultant, but when the market collapsed, so did my gig from home.  With my husband now the sole financial provider for the family, things began to get tight.

We knew that something had to give otherwise we were looking at a very grim financial future. What choices did we have? My husband was picking up as much overtime as he could, which was seriously cutting into what little family time we did have. He couldn't work anymore than he already was so it was really up to me.  If I got a job outside the home, it would mean sending my kids to daycare (which was the very last place I wanted to send them) and with daycare prices so high; I would need a job that would pay enough to justify it. Ideally I needed to find something to generate a real income and be able to do it right from home.

I looked everywhere online to find something legitimate to do from home.  Out of desperation I even tried the whole online survey thing. (I made more money digging in the couch cushions and it didn't take near as long!). It wasn’t until I found Internet CEO Moms that I saw a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.  It was the only thing that I found that made complete sense and that would allow me to continue to stay home with my kids.

I joined Internet CEO Moms in June of 2008 and haven’t looked back.  Joining this amazing team of women, with a focus on helping others, has allowed me to created more time with my family and earn a real income from home that continues to grow!  Yes it required me to step outside of my comfort zone but I am so glad that I did.  I can’t imagine what our life would look like had I not made the decision to go for it.

You know my husband has been paying into his retirement pension for nearly 20 years but now calls me his retirement plan!  I just love that!

Being a part of a team whose focus is on helping others achieve their goals is truly rewarding! 

I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision to be an Internet CEO Mom!
